Display your work at artspace

What we have to offer

We want to showcase your art! We will be constructing acrylic enclosed wall space and pedestals to offer protection to artwork from environmental factors, vandalism, and theft. Lighting will be provided as well as display labels for each included work. A public Artists' Reception will be held on Tuesday at artspace, which we encourage contributing artists to attend.

Application

If you would like to have your work considered for inclusion in artspace, please email us at artspace2006 at yahoo d0t com. Please send us a description of the work as well as jpeg images of the piece if available (or past work if you would like to make something specifically for artspace). The description should also include the following:

medium

dimensions (including any matting or framing) and weight if significant

installation requirements (eg. wall mounting, pedestal, other, special)

year of completion

What we need from contributing artists

Thoughtful, inspiring, beautiful art of course!

All art will be on display by noon Tuesday. With that in mind, we ask that art be brought to our camp on Monday, August 28th between noon and 6:00 pm. If it is not possible for the artist to be present on Monday, please make other arrangements to deliver the art to us Monday on the playa.

Artists must come by to pick up their works on Saturday (burn day) before 4:00 pm.

Art will be displayed in enclosures designed to protect the art entrusted to our care. The playa is nonetheless a harsh environment, one which we cannot completely control. We will be asking that all accepted artists sign a waiver, releasing us from responsibility should the works become damaged or lost due to environmental factors, vandalism, or theft. We apologize for this unfortunate necessity, and hope that artists keep this in mind when offering works.
